Taney Tied Up

The USCGC Taney is currently docked at Baltimore’s Inner Harbor. She is a survivor of the attack at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. Decommissioned on 7 December 1986, she is displayed in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor along with USS Torsk and Lightship 116.
USCGC Taney is a National Historic Landmark.

Tapping into Spring

This is the time of year up north when the sap starts running, and these cans hanging from Maple trees are often the first sign of the changes. These days they use a lot more of the plastic tubing for this effort,
as all the trees run to a central location, and it requires less work to harvest. So cans like these are a dying breed.
except in the most logical place,- the local cemeteries. Not sure where these trees are getting their nourishment,
but its a great use of land!
